SKI SERVICE PSTRUŽÍ
Anyone can enjoy skiing - who has well prepared skis with properly adjusted bindings, sharpened edges and properly treated ski slbase.
If you don't want to spend time waiting for your skis to be ready, Jaroslav Soumar, the service manager, has two recommendations for you.
- Ski service na Plešivci is open Thursday to Sunday from 9 to 16.
- The basic service takes approximately 30 minutes.

- If someone comes for more than one day, they can leave their skis with us in the afternoon of their arrival and the skis will be ready for them on the next day.
- It is also possible to rent skis from our rental shop during the day while the skis are being serviced, or use some of the demo skies by various manufacturers and try out new ski models.

Our service technicians draw on many years of experience and work in professional conditions using the latest technology from the Swiss company MONTANA.
- basic (linear), racing (combined and varying) structures
- complex edge angulation and tuning (constant and radial)
- assembly and adjustment of the binding on the electronic stool with a certificate
- special repairs (base cuts, edges, etc.)

WHY SERVICE YOUR SKIS / SNOWBOARD
The main reason is the user’s safety.
The most important thing for the user is the perfect functionality of the gear. Only perfectly prepared gear can guarantee undisturbed fun on the slope (easy control, precise response to any change of direction, high riding stability, perfect glide).

OUR RECOMMENDATIONS
Servicing should be done regularly, not as a reaction to crisis. Regular servicing is a prerequisite for a better riding experience, sporting performance, but most importantly, safety during the ride. Structuring of the ski surface, including edge angulation and waxing, is usually required several times per winter season, taking into account the frequency of skiing and the current snow conditions in the area (rocks on the slope, natural snow, artificial snow…).
It is essential that your skis or snowboard are ready before the season starts. In this respect, we recommend that you always have a major service at the end of the season so that the wax layer on the surface of the base is not completely removed, but left in place for the preservation of the base and bottom edge surface during the summer. The final wax polishing is recommended before the first ride in the winter.

CHECKING THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE SAFETY BINDING IS EQUALLY IMPORTANT
Before each season, check the binding carefully to see if any parts or screws are missing. Have the trip settings checked with a special electronic stool with a printout (certificate).
Did you know that the default thickness of the base is 1mm? During a single large service we take off 0.066 mm of the surface. That means the skis will last 15 large services. If you get 3 large services per winter, your skis will last 5 years.
